Privacy Policy

Who we are
PolyTrace ("we") is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@polytrace.app.
This policy covers the website, accounts, alerts by Telegram and email, and PolyTrace Pro. The browser extension has its own extension privacy policy.
Data we collect
- Account: when you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name and profile picture link. Our sign-in service keeps a record of your sessions and sign-ins, including the IP address used.
- What you save: wallets and markets on your watchlist and their alert settings, the Polymarket wallet you add to Portfolio, and — if you link Telegram — your Telegram user ID, username and chat ID. We keep a log of alerts sent to you for 30 days.
- Email subscriptions: if you subscribe to the weekly report or follow a wallet by email, we keep your email address, what you subscribed to, its status, and the links used to confirm and unsubscribe. A cookie remembers a browser that confirmed a wallet follow.
- Payments: card and billing details are collected by Stripe (and Link, where it is the seller of record), not by us. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your plan, its status and its renewal date.
- Usage: we use PostHog to understand how the site is used — pages viewed and actions taken, linked to your account ID when you are signed in. PostHog also records session replays of visits; every input field and any content marked private is masked in them. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies.
- Technical data: like any website, our servers and our CDN (Cloudflare) receive your IP address, browser user agent and the pages you request. We use them to deliver the site, to limit request rates, and to block abusive automated traffic.
We do not collect government IDs or payment card numbers, and we do not buy data about you.
Public blockchain data
PolyTrace publishes analysis of trading activity that is public on the Polygon blockchain, including wallet addresses and the display names Polymarket shows for them. That is the content of the Service rather than data about our users. A wallet you add to your own Portfolio is kept private to your account. If you have a concern about a wallet page, write to us.
How we use it
- to run your account and deliver the features and alerts you set up;
- to process subscriptions and keep your plan in step with your payments;
- to send the emails you asked for, and service messages about your account or subscription;
- to keep the Service secure and available, and to prevent abuse;
- to understand usage and improve the Service;
- to meet legal obligations.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (account, alerts, Pro); your consent (email subscriptions, which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, product analytics); and legal obligations (for example, tax records).
We do not sell your personal data, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or show ads.
Who processes it for us
We share personal data only with providers that run parts of the Service for us:
- Hetzner (Germany) — hosts our servers and databases;
- Cloudflare — content delivery, security, web analytics, email delivery, log and backup storage;
- Google — sign-in;
- Telegram — delivery of Telegram alerts;
- PostHog (United States) — product analytics;
- Stripe and Link — payments, billing and, where Link is the seller of record, tax and payment support;
- Resend — backup email delivery, used only if our primary email service is unavailable.
When you add a wallet to Portfolio, its address is sent to Polymarket’s public data API to fetch that wallet’s positions. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
International transfers
We operate from the United States, our servers are in Germany, and some providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account data and what you save: until you delete it or ask us to delete your account.
- Alert log: 30 days.
- Server access logs: about a day. Application diagnostic logs, which can include your account ID: 30 days.
- Email subscriptions: after you unsubscribe we keep the address marked as unsubscribed, so that we do not email you again.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires. Stripe keeps its own records under its privacy policy.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in database backups for up to a few days until they are replaced.
Your choices and rights
You can remove watchlist items, your Portfolio wallet and your Telegram link in the Service at any time, and unsubscribe from any email with the link it contains.
To access, correct, export or delete your personal data — including deleting your whole account — write to hello@polytrace.app from the email address on your account. We will answer within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro subscription; cancel it first from Settings → Manage billing.
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK or California), you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, to remember your language and a confirmed wallet follow, to return you to where you were in a list, and for PostHog analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.
Children
The Service is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring to protect personal data. No service is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is material, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect.
